Brooklands Zoo

We took advantage of some great weather (along with half the parents in Taranaki!) and went to the Brooklands Zoo that is in Pukekura Park.
These are some of the birds in the walk-through aviary.

This is one of the Queen Anne Pheasant pair.

And, here's the other Queen Anne Pheasant.

I like all the colourful birds but the pheasants are quite magnificent.

You saw some beautiful birds. The Queen Anne Pheasant does look very royal indeed with a very impressive strut! Loving the parrots.
Have a wonderful week :)

Hello!:) We have the same birds in our local zoo, and they are always a pleasure to see. The Queen Anne Pheasant is a beauty, and so is the parrot, ...I love the back view of one in your forth image, showing all the lovely coloured plumage. All your photos are first class, and I enjoyed my visit very much.:)

Wow! Gorgeous!!!
I love walking through zoo compounds. These photos are up close and personal, and my favorite is the pheasant. I so enjoyed this Betty. And thank you for sharing this post and linking in with us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin' this week.

Wonderful shots, Betty. Birds can be hard to photograph well.
Thank you for taking part in the "My Sunday Best" meme, hope to see you around again this week.
